OMG, the missus woke me up at 3:00am this morning saying she heard a smash out the front.

I get up and see a neighbours car in flames.

Luckily, i didnt park in my usual spot (next to him) for some reason, even though it was empty when i arrived home. We phoned the fire brigade who turned up in minutes.

The neighbours car had been in a smash a few weeks ago and had been in the garage since - so i just presume an electrical fault. Turns out, a petrol trail had been found down the cul-de-sac to the car.

I am in shock! I have neevr seen a fire like it before in my life and the banging etc. Luckily, the petrol tank didnt go up!!!

Jesus! I'd keep my car well away from theirs from now on. Pretty serious stuff that.

Nope, no-one was hurt thank god.

The funny thing is, another car got petrol bombed in the same town last night and both owners were taxi drivers!!!

Sounds like an insurance job. 3rd party by any chance?

fkING HELL,

That sounds very targeted & deliberate - maybe something to do with the stint in the garage that you mention?

I dont think it was an insurance job.

Apparently, both the taxi drivers (my neighbour and the other one) worked for the same taxi firm which they both left recently to start up on their own!!!

Of course it isn't, Matt, but I think she's over reacting a bit. Seems to me quite a clear cut case of the cab firm marking their territory.

You ever get to thinking, with this and the drive-by catapulting, that we're living in a bubble? That if there ever was an outbreak of anarchy that your average law-abiding joe wouldn't have a clue where to start beyond cuddling the missus and saying it's going to be alright? And then expecting the police "service" to sort it all?

Or am I just having one of those days?
