LED spot lights .....

Just bought some GU10 LED spot lights for replacements for the standard type spot lights,
They are Fg abysmal.

The problem I can see with these type of bulb over the standard filament type spot light bulb is that the LED does not the capability of utilising the reflector part of the bulb, so you ger a direct beam of light (if that's what you can call it) with no spread.

Reverted back to the standard bulbs now and looks much better.

I bought some low voltage R63 spot replacements for the kitchen as I was getting fed up of replacing blown filament ones every week and turning them off after the kids leave them on all the time.

Same equivalent wattage (4no 60w) and they are abysmal also. They take a good few minutes to warm up so they have to be left on all the time and the light is not as good.

Wife is not amused and that is an understatement and wants the filaments put back in.

Still, money is being saved I suppose. Mind you I will probably be dead before they have re-paid themselves.
