Is it just me or does anyone else think that the current "Credit Crunch" might be orchestrated by the US to help devalue their currency into oblivian, and in so doing make their multi-trillian debt worthless, so that they can replace it with the NEW "Amero". a simple step to give them massive quantities of power, and a foot in towards promoting a success alliance towards the "Euro" and subsequent world governance.

Don't forget that in 2007, president George W. Bush signed into effect the National Security and Homeland Security Presidential Directive, which grants the president broad powers during a time of "national emergency". This directive also grants unprecedented power to the Commander In Chief of the US Military (the president) without any type of overriding system of checks and balances from the United States Congress.Basically full "bloody" control to do as he sees fit!

New laws set to be passed in England and Canada would make it illegal to use bad language or take photographs of police officers, moving us further away from the idea of police as public servants and more towards the notion of cops assuming God-like status.
According to the British Journal of Photography, the Counter-Terrorism Act 2008, which is set to become law on February 16, “allows for the arrest and imprisonment of anyone who takes pictures of officers ‘likely to be useful to a person committing or preparing an act of terrorism’.” The punishment for this offense is imprisonment for up to ten years and a fine.
However, even before the passage of the legislation, police in Britain have already been harassing and arresting fully accredited press photographers merely for taking pictures of them at rallies and protests.
Besides the 4.2 million CCTV cameras in Britain, one for every fourteen people, Police are now equipped with mobile surveillance vans and head mounted cameras and they routinely videotape everyone at a protest, yet anyone attempting to record them has been met with increasing hostility.

The trouble with conspiracy theories is that they lead you down blind alleys of speculation about stuff you have no way of proving or stopping. I also think, fortunately politicians are too stupid, selfish and obsessed with tomorrows headlines to plot world government on the sly. Though I guess any of them would want to be President of the World if they had the chance.

The word is commonly used by governments, such as the government of the United States, who do not wish to use the term propaganda or brainwashing to refer to their own work. The word propaganda has very negative connotations, and by calling it psychological operations instead, more sophisticated methods of psychological manipulation are accurately incorporated by the terminology. This euphemism for mind control is ironically an example of psychological operations -- i.e. using psychological techniques to persuade [manipulate] a large number of people to support something that they wouldn't normally support.

I don't doubt there are a few "key players" in the global economies and governments pander to their whims and desires. As for the USA I think its well and truly lost its place as a world superpower, China, India & other Eastern countries are embracing their rise to the world stage through economic and manufacturing might. From what I've seen so far the US congress/voice of the people seems to be run by lobbyists and power brokers.
