Why, prey tell, does internet banking shut down at midnight? Im suspecting a ridiculous transformational "Gunt to Pumpkin" staffing transformational excuse, but could find no mention of this phenomenon in the banks promotional literature.

Im due to receive my hitman payouts tonight.
There must be a good reason... anyone?

Yours is better behaved than mine, then! smile

There must be a reason why they lock the web-doors after midnight, anyone know what it is?

Isn't it to do with the bank clearing system? with my internet banking, although I can get on anytime transfers made between 20:00 and 06:00 can take a while to show up.

My barclays online web works 24 hours.

My ANZ doesn't though.

Some of them run transactions in batch mode and can't accept anything new while the batch is running.
