Can't believe I'm saying this, but for once the Clunking Fist is right (it must be just the law of averages). Being pessimistic about the recession can do nothing but deepen it.
The fact that a great deal of responsibility for the whole shooting match, especially and specifically the UK's exalted and much-ignored status as the worst placed developed country to deal with this global downturn, lies at Broon's hands: well, I hope history judges him as he deserves, at the very least.

Perhaps, but since people are happy during boom times you can only expect them to be unhappy in bust times. I see the recession as a storm that will have to pass over, and Brown throwing money at it won't make a bean of difference, it will just take time.NoelWatson said:
