Of course it does. Those of us with no kids should have our "green taxes" cut by at least 50% smile

If Porritt is so concerned with the effect that people have on the evnironment, why doesn't he do us all a favour and kill himself?

Always makes me laugh when you see eco protesters on the telly with 3 or 4 grubby children milling round!
However, I think suggesting abortion as a method to combat "man made" global warming is going a little too far. Mind you so is telling me to stop driving my car and start using an inadequate public transport system!

He's spot on. Population Growth is the single biggest threat to the planet. It is the root cause of climate change, whatever the symtoms are, and the food shortages.

Until something is done about it, the rest is irelevant but sadly, there are too few people politically brave enough to say it.

Instead we 'celebrate' the moronic unmarried mother giving birth, after fertility treatment, to 8 kids, when she already had 6. You couldn't make it up. What's worse are the people who helped her achieve her 'miracle'.

And for this reason i shall ignore any climate campaigner that still eats and breaths

I firmly believe there is no such thing as MMCC/GW, that is a complete red herring, IMOHO. However, I feel you're right regarding over population in some places, and people who make policies know this, and use the CC excuse to hide behind the real reasons we 'may' need to change - but I also think wealthy countries lead the way in moving technology forward, and it's people with your odd views about MMCC/GW that helps stifle real change and real technological advances.

He's got two children. What's his excuse for that if he's so bothered about population?

It'll be like a postcode baby slaughter, "too many kids in your street, yours must be aborted". The thing is, how much of our money does it cost for these tts to publish these pointless reports?

My wife is pregnant, and we're considering buying an Audi RS4. Should we hand ourself in to big brother before we kill you all?

Rather than generally limiting people to two children, we should be limiting people from having ANY children unil they are in a position to bring them up and care for them without public financial support.

We currently have sensible people putting off having children because of uncertainties as to their financial stability whilst benefit-dependent retards continue to procreate without a thought.

And the continuation of that situation will screw our society long before an extra few inches of sea level ever turns up!

Is it time to sterilise the lower classes? In all seriousness they're the ones who breed too much, contribute the least in terms of community/taxes, but generate the largest drain on the state - emergency services, healthcare, etc. We should be encouraging the hard working people of Great Britain to have children with cash incentives, and prevent the benefit scroungers (and young) from having children until they have either grown up, or ascended from their pizza box littered council houses. All this will of course assist evolution, reduce the burden on the state, and allow us all to pay lower taxes. It doesn't make any sense to continue down our current path whereby a person, without a job or the intention of ever getting one, expects a ten bed house in order to house their spawn. Why should I pay for their children to grow up in funded luxury only for them to eventually attack my car, burgle my home, generally bring the whole area into disrepute, just because their mother couldn't keep her legs together!
