Lads holiday - Eastern Europe?

I'm looking to go away with my best mate for my 21st in April. Leaving Friday, coming home Sunday afternoon.

I'm thinking about Vladivostok (sp) or Talnin (sp) which I've heard of before. Any other suggestions?

Vladivlostok is an insanely long way for a weekend! I don't even know if you can get a direct flight but would be 10+ hours if you could.

How about Krakow - slightly closer or Riga?

Yeah, looking for somewhere that hasn't been tainted too much by the British stag scene.

Clubs, ladies and are main priorities

Tallin, Riga and St Petersburg all worth a visit, especially St Petersburg.

What's Ukraine like now?
I went there (and travelled around quite a lot) for a couple of weeks in 1993 with my Dad, who was returning to his homeland for the first time in 50 years, and the infrastructure was barely holding-together.

Its developing well now, as long as you stay in Kiev. Some of the outer areas are still a bit Soviet, which is no bad thing. Lots of tricked up Lada's to look at too!

When we were there, we drove about in my Cousin Gregory's Lada - non at all tricked-up!

I recall that we had a problem when one of the brake hoses split. No problem, said Gregory.
Scrambling under the car with a length of string, he cut off the end of the split hose....folded it over and tied up the end to seal it.

Our journey continued with three functioning brakes, plus a fair amount of air in the system no doubt!

The condition of the roads out in the country were something to behold though

Hmmm, some good ideas there. I'll look into flights etc.

I'm after a sort of Hostel / Euro Trip experience, only without the torture and "getting off with your sister whilst on E's" bit.
