no i left him out because people's view on him would always be skewed by 'the office' which obviously aint stand up. he's done stand up but almost retrospectovely and hasn't really done the rounds for years and worked his way up etc..


also, i left out Billy Connolly because he's not funny, just a nice warm bloke who tells a good tale and is everyone's top dinner party companion

I voted the incomparable Pryor because he was also a legend, but I don't think he belongs in that list.

Harry Hill would be my choice after Richard Pryor.

If there's an award for being smug, then the prize goes to Jimmy Carr...

The funniest of them all (which has been missed out) is Ross Noble. Unlike most comedians (Frankie Boyle!) who only have a limited amount of gags, I saw Ross Noble do two gigs on the same tour and it was like watching a whole new performance. There were a couple of jokes that were the same otherwise it was all fresh gags, many of them based on the town he was performing in! The man's a Geordie Genius!!!
