BBC - "Feels like".
WTF, isn't the actual temperature sensational enough for them? Now they have to exaggerate it by 3 to 5 degrees to make it sound worse than it actually is with the phrase "Feels like".
It's 0 degrees, so please don't give us that crap about -5 when it isn't.
They never cease in their efforts to earn even more of my contempt.

Boils my proverbial that one, especially when steve wright in particular bleets on about it on R2. WTF, isn't the actual temperature sensational enough for them? Now they have to exaggerate it by 3 to 5 degrees to make it sound worse than it actually is with the phrase "Feels like".

Isn't 'feels like' the dumb term for the percentage of 'relative humidity'?WTF, isn't the actual temperature sensational enough for them? Now they have to exaggerate it by 3 to 5 degrees to make it sound worse than it actually is with the phrase "Feels like".

I think they used to call it the 'wind chill factor'.
Indeed, and there is nothing wrong with that, it is easily understood. But I reckon that the BBC have abandoned the phrase for this new one specifically as it allows them to be more sensational and misleading. They have changed the link with wind chill from a legitimate one to a now very tenuous one, if it is mentioned at all.

Agreed. It's zero degrees, it feels like zero degrees. It's colder than usual because........It's zero degrees. And far be it for me to agree with a Scotsman
but the chap above really has got it in one this countries attitude towards perfectly normal weather is absurd. Bit of snow = Blizzard Arctic conditions people dying of hypothermia. Bit of wind = Hurricanes people dying for standing under trees. Bit of water = Flooding people dying because they decide to go for a walk down a street that's covered in water and fall down a drain. Bit of sun = Hottest summer on record, droughts, hosepipe bans and people dying of heat exhaustion.
England doesn't get extreme weather, it just can't cope with anything outside of mild drizzle.

I'm half waiting for some news reader to claim that today is our 9-11. Maybe it will be remembered as 2-2. Which appropriately, is what ought to be put to the head of most modern media playersWhat the f
