A BAA spokeswoman said a Cyprus Air aircraft was taxiing at Heathrow airport shortly after 8.30am when its front wheel "went on to the grass".
No one was injured in the incident, which did not happen on a runway, but passengers were still on board and airport officials were working out a way to get them off, she said.
Heathrow temporarily closed both its runways, leading to more than 250 cancellations and "significant delays" to other flights.

i'm not surprised. I was on a flight that landed at 7am and the runway was totally snow covered with not a lot of evidence of having been ploughed. taxiing to the terminal you could feel the plane skidding when turning.
Put it this way i would not want to drive a car on the snow on the runway let alone land a plane
