Promech racing office seats

Has anyone tried or even better use the racing style office seats from Promech?
Maybe you sat in one at the recent PH show at the NEC

they look pretty adjustable and not tooooo pricey at £329

It's a computer chair, it does the same as 90% of the rest of them. It's overpriced and looks fking ridiculous.

Not too pricey? My chair was 40 quid. Mine also has the added benefit of not making me look like a complete tool.

To be fair to the original poster, if you spend upwards of 6+ hours a day sat at a desk, why shouldn't he invest in a decent chair?

You don't sit on a wooden board in the living room to watch TV of an evening do you? You sit on a comfy sofa...

Just cause it's £300 - doesn't necessarily mean it's an overpriced pile of ste does it?

You pay for quality.... buy cheap, buy twice....and have chronic back ache...

I have never considered 'a superior level of sports styling' to be that important in a chair.

I'm not selling one...I need a new office chair as mines cream crackered after 10+ years of use. I'd just fancied something a bit different from the normal boring stuff. All the ergonomic ones I've looked at are 600 quid plus

So if anyone has experience of them or indeed any other office chair

Even better than that, they are 'matching 5 spoke casters'.

Now, as they do not even remotely match anything else on the chair, one can only presume that they mean that they match each other.

'We managed to fit 5 wheels the same' is actually a pretty piss poor selling point.

I'm interested I the answer to as thinking of buying one for the study at home.

To OP - If you don't get the answer you like and do go for an ergonomic one get a HAG H05 with the arms and the headrest. 15-16 stone and ever had a seconds back ache from it in 5 years and I'm in and out of it all day long. It barely looks used and I can't recommend it highly enough. I'd be getting one for the study if i was going to use that chair 1/4 as much.

Really? The most expensive one on the google product search is £250. I suppose none of them are 'exciting' though...

and i'm sure the gloves wouldn't assist me use the keyboard & mouse.

You can spend upwards of £500 on an orthopaedic office chair.

If you're lucky enough that sitting for 8 hours on a £30 chair from Office World won't give you back pain then count your blessings. For some of us it's really important.. you probably spend comparable amounts of time sitting in an office chair as you do lying in bed and nobody would quibble about spending as much as you can on a bed..

A work mate who has a back problem received a Posturite RH Logic 4, I used it for few hours and its excellent. I don't have a bad back and don't one, so i'm prepared to spend on one. But the Posturite one is circa 800 - 900 quid which seemed a bit pricey for me to purchase for circa 15 hours a week on the 2 days I work at home.
