What happens to Audi Keyfob on a 60 degree 1400 spin wash?

.......it comes out nice and clean......
If it happens to you (!) dont press any buttons, disassemble it, battery the lot, stick it on the rad for three hours, reassemble and try it.....it did not work at first, opened the car with the key, started it up, all ok, turned it off, and hey presto, the kefob locked it. Unlocked it, locked it again!
Not recommended, but if you are a twonk like me, dont panic!!
BTW, Audi dealer who I called about it while it was drying, said it would be knackered and wanted £460 for a new key! !

My daughter has this winter vomitting bug and threw up all over me at 9pm last night! Hence chucking it all in the washer without properly checking the pockets and the need for 60 degrees (highly contagious this bug!)You should be washing @ 30 degrees!!

When the keys were recovered this AM, it all went back through again at 40!!! !

The one you're going to report to the police tomow morning?
You only had around £30 cash in it and no credit or debit cards but you DID have your key fob in it.
The nice policemen will then give you a crime report reference number and your nice insurance company (probably home rather than motor) will buy you a nice shiny new one once you've got the reference number.
It's just a case of getting the sequence of events right
