hotel near o2 arena

can any one recommend a hotel near the o2?

Only stayed at one, called the Antigallican pub. It's just over a mile away south of the O2. If you can get a taxi thorugh the tunnel you can stay at any of the ones in the docks. I was at the boxing and the tunnel was blocked for hours with traffic so was well glad of the stumble to the boozer.

have looked on express web site only to find 60 odd hotels in london(not being a local and no idea where the o2 is) can any one let us know of the hotel name/address.

I stayed in the travelodge at docklands, on t'other side of the river.
Fairly easy to drive to, short ride on DLR & tube to the arena.
I'm far from local so there may be better options!
