How come they are allowed to break into a secure property so they can claim squatters rights? Police don't want to prosecute for that.
Police advise that turning the gas, water and electric off - would consitute harassment!! So you have to pay for the services they use!!!
House inbetween tenants being refurbished and hence full of stuff - they have effectively stolen all tools and materials.
Personally I think a few of us should go down there are night with some big dogs and pelt them with sh%tty nappies and vomit. See how long they want to claim their rights.

They are not allowed to break into a secure property. If someone has broken it just before though 
To be honest going down and 'having a word' is usually the most effective way. So long as you use your brains and aren't *too* bad you'll more than likely find that the police will turn a blind eye.

Ehh, all right. Two points, ah, two flats, and a packet of gravel.You need to find the wrong people and have them remove the squatters from the property very early in the morning and driven in back of van/truck/whatever approx a hundred miles away and dropped off in middle of nowhere. Whilst they are on their magical mystery tour get the builders etc back on site and get the property back on track.

Hundred miles works for me.... Naked in the countryside would be even better A friend of mine with some properties had a similar problem. The property was due to be double-glazed so he sent his builders along to remove all the old windows and doors, but unfortunately there was a delay before the new windows were available so the house had to be left open. Amazingly the squatters decided it wasn't for them and left the next day. . . . . . . .
I can't see how you can be forced to pay the bills. Surely it is up to you if you want to have utilities in an empty house, and up to them if they want to get it turned back on.
ETA: Let them take you to court, they will have no leccie and gas for months and it is cold.
