How often do you iron your trousers?

Aimed at the office types.

I'm ironing my keks on a Sunday evening, then by Tuesday the crease has gone from them. I lay them out flat when I take them off.
Or is it down to my trousers not being too hot on the quality front? I've got a few cheapo emergency shirts which are a bh to get a crease in, but M&S ones are fine.

Basically I end up either looking a tramp, or ironing the sodding things each morning.

It may be prudent, then, to iron a 'crease-mold' into your legs, instead.

Ummmm... I have a number of suits that are rotated regularly - I very rarely wear the same suit the next day.

Also, when possible, I buy two pairs of trousers for each suit as they wear quicker than the jackets.

A good quality suit, in my experience, will look better for longer.

Oh, and I never iron the trousers - always dry clean.

I only wear trousers once before they are cleaned and ironed. Is it normal to wear clothes for several days without them being cleaned?

ETA: Jeans etc are good for 2 days ie a weekend.

Work (suit) trousers are good for almost 5 days if you are just sat there! But I have 2 pairs for a week.

PS: I don't wear a suit atm, just shirt, tie and some keks.

One pair of trousers does me for four days (dress down Fridays) - jeans can last ages unless you spill something on them..!

Fair enough, I've never claimed to be normal, but I'll stick to fresh everyday rahter than 40 hours in a warm office in the same trousers!

I have the air con control and the window near my desk so I am pleasantly chilly all day. I sit in shirt sleeves whilst everyone else is in fleeces. See my topic from ages ago 'Why am I always too hot'.

I am going to answer to be awkard beacuse I am not an office type , currently.

I only wear trousers for scruffy so never - washed and dried and back on. Skirts - mostoly dry clean only.

Does anyone have a steam generator iron? I reckon they would make short work of things?

Ditto, I just rotate suits. I never iron the trousers, just make sure you hang them up immediately after you get back.

ETA: You keep your trousers in it when not in use, impeccable crease every time.

I probably wear each suit once or twice a week, so say 6 times a month (we have dress down friday)

After that its goes to the dry cleaner for pressing, or cleaning if needed. In between I don't iron it as they can do a much better job, and it only costs about £3.

Yes, you need skills though.

Best do one leg at a time to avoid cross creasing or you could even fashion a bit of card or something to ensure it remains regimental.

Trouser press? keeps the creases in between dry cleaning. I currently rotate 2 jackets & 4 pairs of trousers

No. There is some kind of design feature which presses a parallel crease into the leg - no matter how exactly you place them in the press.
