Ok.

I can remember when the whole Scooter thing started a few years ago, and could sort of see the attraction.

Pokemon. Not a clue.

Heelies? Should be called death wheels.

My little lad (3 last week) has a morbid fascination/obsession with things called go-go's.

These are (to 34 year old eyes) random lumps of plastic, with faces painted on them, sold in packs of 3 with a sticker of each in.

They are only cheap (thankfully) but when i went to get some for him the other day, i was asked if i want series 1 or series 2. What the fk?????????????
Can anyone explain????????????

Or tell me what else have i missed/got to look forward to as he gets older???????????????????????/

You lucky, lucky *******.

My boy is a little younger. He likes Thomas. But only the hand crafted wooden stuff. My last impulse throwaway purchase was 50 quid.

A quid for three toythings?

Enjoy.

Erm, no. I am hoping to persevere with the enormous collecion of disney pixar Cars he had on the 22nd-then his favourite thing ever......now regarded in a similar way as st on your shoe.

Thing is, i can understand Thomas the tank engine/roary the racing car/cars.

A model of something with a track/mat etc etc that you can actually play with.

These look (to my heavily untrained eye) like melted toffees (or toffo's to be at least semi precise) and as such, i cannot grasp the attraction.

Series 1, series 2...

Doesn't matter.

They don't half fking hurt when you step on them!
Especially if the little bstards darlings have been playing with them on the stairs...

Kids? Who'd have 'em?!?

laugh

wait until he wants you to play with them smile

each player starts with 7 GoGo's lined up a takes it in turn to flick one at the opponents line up - any you knock over go into your team rolleyes

Oh yeah - if you tread on one wearing just your socks if hurts like a barsteward.

I can remember a thing called Zoids when i was a nipper- battery or wind up mechanized dinosaurs.

A great thing for a child.

Then, that terribel day when some little fker at school turned up with a Transformer.

We all felt a bit yesterday, and hassled the folks half to death.

But again, at least you could play with the things.

A malformed plastic toffee??? Come on kids, they wouldnt even go through a catapault properly.

i AM sad enough to know that.

If you consider Captain Feathersword from the wiggles (last fad from approx 28/8/08 to roughly 6/11/08) an adult.
Only ever watched it about 4,000,000,000,000,000 times and know all the words etc.

In my day we had to make good with a hoop and a stick. (Well Flight Deck actually and wasn't that rubbish.) Kids toys these days leave me as baffled as my monkey.

Those Disney Pixar Cars are great! We've got loads of them and we've had hours of fun with them. smile

Current favourites are NASCAR models, available on eBay for not much money. And the Pixar Cars, of course. We have some serious races going on here. But fortunately no requests for a pony yet - although the other day, we did have "Mum, when you buy a Ferrari, can it belong to both of us?".

Good lad. cool

I have a little figure 8 track for them!

It's the single noisiest thing since the erruption at krakatoa!

My little bundle of joy has loads of cars, and knows all of them.

Christmas could have been so much cheaper: we went to see Santa
And when asked what he wanted, we were told 'blue mater'. I said I was sure
Santa would get him one, only go get the reply 'he wants to,else I will get my daddy to hit you'

Santa was not impressed.

Anything to do with Star Wars is sacrosanct for my 4 year old. However, try explaining how Anakin Skywalker is Luke Skywalker's dad but then becomes Darth Vader who tries to kill Luke before being reconciled and Princess Leia is really Luke's sister and see how far you get.
