You know you've started becoming your dad when....
Discussion
You've got a large moth eaten piece of plywood with and improvised 4x2" handle nailed on, stored all year, purely for the purpose of clearing snow off the drive/paths...
That and coming in afterwards and doing some kind of 'laying on of palms' ritual on the all the household radiators in turn to ensure your boiler is still working at maximum capacity in this cold weather...

So what have you done/or got in the shed that has ensured you that your genetic bloodline is correct and intact?

Totally opposite for me!
Mine made me help him do lots of manual jobs around the garden - digging 60ft trenches, mixing 10 tons of concrete etc etc
now I have a) mini digger b) cement mixer c) compactor plate d) petrol chainsaw e) petrol lawnmover f) petrol hedge trimmer etc etc
The point being he did everything by hand - me - too lazy.

Not really to do with becoming my dad, but realistation I'm getting old.
Seeing a bird/woman on TV, and thinking "wouldn't mind a bit of that", only to realise she's as old as my daughter

Doing handbrake skids in the snow and getting told off by other half

When we go shopping, I tend to take the boys and have a look at the electrical bit whilst the main shopping thing goes on, can always remember my dad taking me to do that when i was little.......
The ultimate Dad thing has to be having the car radio set on some am station though - I'm not there yet.........

Mrs Pee says the standard of my underwear has dropped since I have approached my late 30s.
My 'lucky pants' are now 'I'm lucky if I can get out of bed' pants.
you had lucky pants? My 'lucky pants' are now 'I'm lucky if I can get out of bed' pants.
are you sure the label hadn't curled up and they were actually unlucky pants?
