The naughty so and so's have been lopping bits off convicted sex offenders.

Quite frankly, I bet it stops them re-offending.

"Surgical castration is a mutilating, irreversible intervention and cannot be considered as a medical necessity in the context of the treatment of sex offenders," the committee said in a report.

"The intervention removes a person's ability to procreate and has serious physical and mental consequences."
What about the young kids life permenantly scarred by what is done to them by these people?

Don't do the crime if your not prepared to do the time. Simple.

If people knew they'd have their balls chopped off for kiddy fidling then I think it could go two ways. Preventing some but peossibly increasing the amount of murders subsequent to the fiddling to dispose of the evidence.

If they're not allowed to surgically castrate male sex offenders because of some do-gooder lentil eating feckwit, then maybe they should just "accidentally" drop a brick on their tallywhacker instead? smile

Other countries, including Poland, Italy and France, seeking ways of dealing with violent sex offenders and paedophiles, have investigated using chemical castration methods.
meanwhile the UK tries the alternative approach of telling them they've been very naughty boys before putting them to work in schools and young womens clinics....

While I hate paedophiles as much as the next man, I do think we have to be very careful when considering laws and not cave into our base emotions of fking them up real good.

It's interesting so many people here have latched only onto the paedophile bit, which the BBC article somewhat misrepresents, it applies to violent sex offenders as well, which when you look at it, people getting wrongly convicted of rape is not unheard of, and in Czechoslovakia they get castrated, how is that a good thing ?

Yeah. False convictions/accusations is the only real problem.

Scorp, whilst I understand your point about wrongly convicted rape offenders, and sooort of agree, but not really, (a bit like not bringing the death penalty back in case one in a thousand people executed are innocent), I was only referring the peado bit, for they, in my eyes, have no rights whatsoever and deserve to be chopped up into little pieces, slowly.

Sorry if I haven't read this right, but you'd execute an innocent person in order to kill 999 guilty ones? Care to pick who the lucky guy/girl is?

That was my point, sorry if I phrased it wrong (I am half Hun after all), but it's a tough call, on the one hand in my eyes a Paedo for example deserves the death penalty, on the other hand, what if he's wrongly convicted?
