The news is reporting that Stephen Fry was stuck in a lift and put it on Twitter ahead of an article about a woman who rescued a pair of puppies from a bunch of sick fks who were basically roasting them on a bonfire.

WTF goes through these people's minds - and by "these people" I mean the ones who put together the news schedules.

It was a toss-up between a "Fry" story or a "roast" story I would assume.

I was annoyed that the article on Danny Boyle got dropped completely.

I bet more people will read the story about Mr Fry over the woman saving the puppies.

So that is why they report it ahead of it, obviously. After all most news reporting agencies are a business.

It's just a sad fact that many people in this country care about the dull existance of a "celeb" far over and above many other things.

For example, an advert today for some magazine or other which shows the "bump" of some woman or other. So, famous woman is pregnant shock. That's news?
