Thinking of taking the missus for the night the weekend after valentines day .

Just for the friday night.

The website has a cuple of offers on at the moment.

Feature double room with dinner and breakfast for two (three course meal from what i presume is a set menu) for £190

Or just bed and breakfast in the same room for £119

Anyone stayed there (I know some of you have) reccomend it?

Have you eaten there? was it very good?

and what level of room did you stay in?

Thanks

Dan

I live quite close by so not stayed there. Been to a couple of xmas do's and my mates wedding. Food was good on both occasions. A tad pricey though.

I stayed at Coombe Abbey for Halloween and loved it.

I think we stayed in one of the "Crown" rooms - it was quite small and had an amusing bath on a kind of "stage" in one corner! It was lovely (however small) though - and anyway, we spent most of our time either sitting in front of one of the lovely roaring fires and going to the medeval banquet.

The banquet was great fun. My boyfriend and I went as a couple, but there were lots of groups of people there too and we got sat opposite another couple who were on their own and ended up getting talking to them and having a really good laugh.

The building is beautiful, the grounds lovely to walk around and I really want to go back soon!

I've stayed there! was great, stayed in one of the grand feature rooms when my sister was married there, it's really nice, would be great to go there with your other half, lovely grounds to walk around. The rooms are all very cosy and lightly lit, if I remember rightly, you can book a special corner table in the restaurant that's secluded, you might want to check on that.
