So, the news headlines:

It snowed.

In other news:

Councils havent got enough grit. Luckily, someone from British Salt has got a handy 100,000 tons they are 'releasing onto the market to help out' (ie the price is through the fking roof, we have got the councils by the bks, lets make hay while the erm, snow falls)

Then, the pullout of american troops blah, blah, blah etc etc

Followed by about 5 minutes telling us that the football coverage was interrupted by adverts, and everyone missed the goal.

Oh, and Joe the unbeaten boxer has retired- good for him, great career, but not realing worth 5 or so minutes.

Did anything actually happen today?

Can anyone tell me something that THEY did today which is newsworthy ? (to me at least)

No, thats why I was asking if it was really on the news. It was terrible editing (or whatever it is), but news worthy? No, I'd say not.

considering they spend 10 minutes per broadcast covering oikball I think when one of our greatest ever sportsmen on the world stage retires its very important and 5 minutes is the bare minimum he should be afforded.
