Calling the PM "a one-eyed Scottish idiot" has blown up a few kilts it seems.

I'm sure Clarkson is gutted.

That's his chance of appearing on the One Show down the swannee.

Scottish politicians have reacted angrily to comments made by Top Gear's Jeremy Clarkson about Gordon Brown.

I think the bit in bold has more to do with it than their nationality.

I never knew Gordon Brown only had one functioning eye. It rather explains why he has such a distorted view of reality.

And what's with all the fuss about Clarkson's comments? Gordon Brown is...

1: One-eyed - Check.
2: Scottish - Check.
3: An idiot - Check.

Seems that, once again, politicians are becoming enraged by the notion that someone speak the truth about one of them.

But about the right time of the day to produce a retort of that calibre smile

What, exactly are they angry about? The fact he is Scot, or that Clarkson mentioned it? Seems to be a storm in a teacup, with a fine opportunity for some no-mark Jockish MP's to get their names in the paper.

Well, if anyone should be upset it IS the Scottish. I mean, how embarassing, a jackass like that being from your country.

As a Scot I cannot deny the truth in what Clarkson says but a least our nation didn't spawn someone like Peter Mandelson. He's a creepy looking bd.

Just read the news... bloody fantastic Mr Clarkson.

The MP's saying it's "unforgiveable" just reinforce what an utter bunch of cretinous ar5e licking, butt sniffing, oligeneous little creeps they are.

Clarkson has the guts to accuse the PM of lying....well we, the educated electorate agree wholeheartedly.

God I hate MP's.

Court jesters in medieval times used to be able to say things that normal people could not say. I think people like Clarkson, should be given official status to be allowed to say such things.

I thought his comment regarding lorry drivers was hilarious as well and wholeheartedly agree with his comments on Brown.

PS Perhaps we should give Carol Thatcher the same status, eccentric people are much more interesting than bores who always toe the PC line.

For a belligerent English hack Clarkson has an unerring capacity to state the obvious and no more. Brown is sight impaired, Scottish, but no idiot. As ever, Clarkson trades satire for jeer and jibe. It's Internet crapology.
Anyone who thinks they are responsible for getting the economy out of the mess it's in whilst:

Being the architect of much of the problems in the first place:
i.e.
  • Raiding the pension funds.
  • Lobbying for less regulation - he's now trying to distance himself from this and pretend he never made these statements.
  • Was Chancellor for many years and was directly responsible for overseeing the UK financial system.
  • Dithered over Northern Rock until there was no alternative.
Must be an idiot (or a pathalogical liar).

Oh christ on a bike. Nothing worse than a nationalistic moron to get upset about something. Jeez, have these Scottish Politicians nothing better to do with their time than get upset about a comment about Gordon Brown? If they get mad about an entirely factual comment, I hate to think what they would do / say if they were to take a look on PH for example? Spontaneous Human combustion? One can only hope.

From what I understand, Scottish Politics is in turmoil at the moment - cant agree the budget and risking a potential re-election. This couldn't be a cynical and dim-witted attempt to divert attention away from their current plight, could it?
