poor spelling

I am sorry, but I just had to say it.
I am apalled at the spelling standards on this forum.

I am not talking typos here,- i am talking things like:

there instead of they're
should of instead of should have
aloud instead of allowed
presents instead of presence
brought isntead of bought

all elementary stuff FFS!

My point is that the mistakes I was referring to earlier are commonly pointed out in every thread, yet people seem to pay no attention to it.

I know I am making myself look like a snobbish intolerant ass with this thread, but I am hoping someone out there will agree with me that this dumbing down of English language is completely unnecessary.

Overall, several typos so type more carefully. Grammar is poor in places and your sentences are frequently too long and poorly structured. Very little punctuation. Several spelling mistakes so please use either spell-check or google any words you're not sure of before you hit submit.

Either that or you could accept that this is a Forum and not a letter writing society and that plenty of people bash out their posts fairly quickly. Do a few spelling mistakes really affect anyone's life?

My opinion is that sgging the forum and other posters off when you've only been here for a month is fairly rude. If it’s completely illegible then that’s fair enough but as long as you can work out what is meant what’s the problem.

you have boviously missed the point of my thread.

Let me say again, I am not saying we should all be armed with a spellchecker and thesaurus to be able to express ourselves here.

I am saying that the specific examples above are frequently pointed out on this forum and simply cannot have come from being in a hurry or having sausage fingers. They are deliberate and premeditated spellings, that could have only come from ignorance and lack of basic education, wich in itself is forgivable, but then if you haven't had a proper education then why not at least pay attention, once it has been pointed out on the forum?

Use Firefox. Download Dictionary add on.

I think Mozilla Firerox has a built in spelling checker.

But this may depend on whether you have MSOFFICE or not.
