Discussion
was planning of driving down to Bournemouth later today from Derby, however with the weather at the moment i'm unsure!
Whats the weather like down south?
My route planned is A38 - M6 Toll - M42 - M40 - get off M40 at Bicester - A34 around oxford - down to Winchester - Get on M3 - M27 - A31 - A338 into Bournemouth...
anyone got any idea on whats happening weather wise along that route?

I know it sounds wimpish, but I would stay at home unless it's vital to get there - you and your car might be perfectly capable of getting through the snow, but if the road is blocked by other cars/lorries it doesn't matter what you're driving, you're also stuck!
cheers mate, i know im undecided at the moment! cars a 2.0Hdi Pug 307..so its doubtfull it'll make it thru snow without some chains! ETA and the chance of blockages from trucks/cars like you say!

M40 through oxford/ high wycombe
It was snowing very heavily today around High Wycombe and I know a mate in Bicester (M40 J9) is not at work due to the weather. I'm not near HW at the moment so can't give you an update but the snow was very heavy earlier and I doubt it's cleared much.Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
