Go Veg, Be Green, Save the Planet
Discussion
Another adverts that's on a lot over here, is it in the UK?
Basically an advert shows the world spinning, then cuts it into 3 equal thirds and says.
"33% of the world's CO2 output is created by Energy Creation,
33% of the world's CO2 output is created by Transportation and
33% of the world's CO2 output is created by the livestock industry"
"So Go Veg, Be Green, Save the Planet"
What the hell, i get so enraged when i see this hippy s
t, why do they feel the need to preach their yoghurt weaving, home-made tampon wearing, semen shampoo using detritus upon the population.
Really i don't have time for these militant veggie types, if they want to live like that then fine, but f
k off with your scientology ways of converting people.
Here's their propaganda:
http://govegbegreen.org/
Sadly i can't find an organisation to the exact antithesis of them.

The UN report they use to support their argument says "livestock contributes to about 9% of total anthropogenic carbon dioxide emissions".
Muppets.

Go vegetarian to fight climate change? Well, good luck with that, because if so concerned about CO2 and methane they will also presumably not be eating anything grown abroad nor grown out of season in the UK using heated greenhouses, nor any dairy products. Six months of the year living on pulses and swedes. Marvellous, good luck with the scurvy.

I worked out that in order to offset the CO2 emissions of the 570mile round trip to North Wales that I take every month our company would need to recycle 500kg of paper a month.
So I have effectively rendered the entire companies CO2 derived recycling incentive a complete waste of time.
The director called me a "self absorbed a
hole". I was very pleased.
Follow my example PHers. Together we can destroy the world.

I wasn't aware of much vitamin C in meat (except maybe liver?)?

It's an aussie advert, not that makes much difference.
But bizarrely over here they're almost xenophobic on imported foods, in western asutralia it's a big marketing point/selling point that it's western australian owned and run, people actively buy based on that.
Then they'll buy from other states, but you wont see many/if any foods from another country!

I don't see what harm it does.
The country is full of pressure groups - no-one agrees with all of them and none of them have the agreement of everyone. Just ignore them.
Do you recall the Halifax adverts, Howard the sex-bomb wanting to give you extra ?The country is full of pressure groups - no-one agrees with all of them and none of them have the agreement of everyone. Just ignore them.
I dont't see what harm it does... but i still want to kill him, his family, the person who came up with the idea, their family, and friends, aquaintances... and their families !!
This country is full of lots of things that in their own right 'don't do any harm' but once put together are like an army of ants taking little chunks out of your patience, millions of little chunks.
Can we not have american style public-broadcast channels to put all this pressure-group shiite on !?
