Poor Postal delivery at the moment?

I appreciate this could be very much a localised issue, but just out of interest, how many people here experiencing unusual postal delays at the moment? since christmas I dont think delivery has been working properly at all, for me at least.

Where else are people experiencing abnormally bad delivery in recent weeks?

Royal Mail, bad service? Never!!! Seriously, on the whole they have been good, the snow has obviously affected them but that really isn't their fault. They seemed to come well with all our deliveries this Christmas, missing items are still a problem though.

I'm also in LU3. My next door neighbour is a postman and has been sent home for the last couple of days so don't expect anything today.

We are in SN12 and have not had a postal delivery since Wednesday.

My brother is a postie in Cornwall and he said they very little volume as the trucks were struggling to get out of Plymouth

I have been home all day and still had a card put through the door for a single amazon book order - apparently it was too big for the post box AND I was out.

Incorrect on both accounts.

Not seen our postman since Saturday, but Parcel Force guy made it today...only 2 weeks after being sent from Thatcham < 40 miles.

My usual complaint is that our mail doesn't arrive until 10:30 weekdays, however it has arrived at 10:30 every day this week through all of the adverse weather.

No idea as i'm the wrong side of the world.

But TBH we wouldn't notice, most days it's 2PM before it arrives.

Oh how we laughed when they canceled the 2nd deliveries of the day as we never got 2 deliveries.

A postie lives down my street - he hasn't been at work for three days now. Easy bloody life!

No post for three days and no sign of it either. No rubbish collection and bins / recycling full. Not sure what I am supposed to do? I can take it to the tip and recycling place, but isnt this what I pay my council tax for?

Ours is working fine and has suddenly started coming relativey early - here by 9AM all this week, when usually it's around mid-day.
