We are pathetic!
Discussion
Just watching the news and quite frankly the rest of the world must think we are a right load of tossers.
The next great tragedy for us is that we have run out of grit, for the love of god how do the media whip up so much hysteria over grit.
Of Course we also have the snow, you would think the ice age had arrived. On the news I see a dim bint standing on the corner of a main road with 3 inches of snow around her feet, she reporting that people are bracing themselves for the coldest winter for close on a fortnight. Poor little Oscar has got his gloves wet but the family think he will pull through with lots of hugs and love.
The fact is they have to report something so in turn they will report anything, in my opinion we should have news once in the morning at lunchtime at 6pm and 10pm just like we used to.
Every fifteen minutes someone is reporting on the poxy snow every fifteen minutes for god sake!!!!.

And all the while, the Bank of England scurried off downstairs and printed money while we were snowed in.
The tax they took last year paid for the snow, its Russian you see - part of the gas deal. It was just a diversionary tactic to focus us on the snow while they made all our monies worthless
(Sorry, I'm bored of snow now, back to doom n gloom)

Here is an idea, dont watch TV, it works for me. Also only buy a decent saturday paper and dont listen to local radio.
My piss has stopped boiling since i stopped watching/reading/listening and its at a managable level now and I am not hyper-tense anymore.
just as a foot note avoid Jeremy vine on radio 2as well. He is satan and only stirs people up on his show with no hope or promise of any kind of resolution to the discussed problems.
In fact thinking of him makes me tense.

Anything that stops the vacuous presenters talking down the economy has got to be a good thing.
No no NO!Anything that stops the vacuous presenters talking down the economy has got to be a good thing.
The BBC has used the entire 2009/10 allocation of the word 'treacherous' in the space of 5 days. Rumour has it that a large stock of 'hazardous' is being kept in a warehouse in Slough just in case supplies of 'treacherous' run out.
To make things worse, Russia is withholding any further availability of 'unprecedented' to Western Europe due to disputes over who owns the Arctic.

I had heard that we were fresh out of 'treacherous' but had no idea that 'unprecedented' was now in short supply. I'm not that bothered about hazardous to be honest.
There's a rumour that "let's go over to our weather correspondent who is by Stonehenge" is in abundant supply.
