Words that sound like their meaning
Discussion
Went for a walk with wifie in the snow this afternoon - very nice it was too! However, the wife said - this will all be slush in a day or two. It got me thinking, 'slush' is such an appropriate word for melting slow. It sounds right, if you know what I mean. So what other words are out there which sound right - a few that come to my mind are:
gulp
bounce
clap
thunder
scream
Or, maybe I'm just nuts!

Slightly bending the original idea, but I don't think any person could have been more appropriately named than Ned Ludd, the big farm hand simpleton who went around and smashed up machinery in the industrial revolution, and left the word Luddite as his legacy. Ned Ludd.

Didn't know that - very funny! It's like his parents knew he was a retard in the crib and gave him an appropriate name!Gassing Station | The Pie & Piston Archive | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
