As the title suggests, if you could start uni in September what would you study?

I'm back at Uni doing a second degree, 16 years after I gradated from the first one.

(First degree was just a way of getting cheap foreign holidays, avoiding work and getting laid / drunk etc.)

This degree is specifically related to my job / career. Building Project Management.

TBH when I went to Uni last time there seemed to be a reasonable range of subjects to study, but this time it seemed that there was a course for everything, even down to specific job roles.

Engineering Design MSc @ brunel (or similar)

I did product design & manufacture at Loughborough and am now a manufacturing/process engineer.

I'd like to brush up on modern CAD software, and do some advanced FEA, control stuff, with experience of designing mechanical/consumer goods to a brief... Then move into a design job, with senior manufacturing engineer or process engineering manager/ continuous improvement manager as a backup building on existing skills.

... Not that I've thought about this much of course!

Politics Philosophy and Economics. Interesting subjects and I think that would play to my strengths more than BSc Economics, which I studied for my first degree. It was great to conquer my fear of maths, but I think I ended up not getting as good a degree as I could have, and studying a really fairly boring subject, and the bits that I've used could have been covered in a couple of modules.

Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering probably... I've a BSc in Computer Science, had various offers for courses to do all three. Still not quite sure if I made a mistake though, but at least I enjoy what I do now.

I wish I had picked a better course when I was at uni. I got offered a place at Imperial College doing Aeronautics, but for some reason turned them down! If I went back, I'd probably doing Physics, as it's what I enjoyed most at school.

I'd train to be a vet, or possibly go into agricultural engineering. I've got a masters degree in mechanical and manufacturing engineering, but can't honestly say that it's lead to a job I get much satisfaction from.

I am seriously considering going back to uni to study for a second degree.

I would study Meteorology (sp??) and once completed said degree, go and get a place in central USA and chase tornados for a couple of months of the year.

For the rest of the year I would do as I'm doing now.
