Mass trespass - how to deal with?
Discussion
Evening all...
Looking for some advice with regards to trespass. One of our fields is on a slope, and with the snowy weather over the last few days, the local kids have decided that this is their own personal toboggan/sledge run. There must have been well over 100 people on there today, as there has been all week.
I'm not a killjoy and understand that snow is awesome. But, I'm getting a little tired of 100s of people pushing over my fences and climbing over my gates to get onto private property...which they then leave all their rubbish on for us to clear up.
Confronting them directly isn't the best idea, as we're horribly outnumbered and they can quite easily figure out where we live. I don't want any repercussions and want to keep everything legal.
Any ideas? Would the police come out for 'mass trespass'? If they did, would that be on record when we sold the house? Sadly, as much as I would love to "nuke them from orbit" it's not really workable in this situation.
Sensible replies welcomed, tongue-in-cheek replies expected!

I appreciate it's a bit late to do anything (legal) this year, but I would like to stop it happening in future years. I estimate there's already enough rubbish to fill the Land Rover three times over, and I really don't want to do this every year.
As for the shotgun idea - whilst nothing would thrill me more greatly than to blow their freakin' heads off, I think mob justice and Mr. Policeman may put a stop to that idea...

A sign saying "If you keep my fences in good nick and take your rubbish with you, welcome. If not, Ill start taking pot-shots with my rifle from a secret location/erect an electric fence."
Or something.
Better to try and work with them than have them try and prove they can get in anyway and ad malice into the equation.

A. If as you say, you're fences are really being flattened, its a simple case of criminal damage shirley....Looking for some advice with regards to trespass. B. Or you could be present there as they arrive and ask them what the f
k they think they are doing pointing to your new signs. C. Wait until they leave then strengthen thier preferred entry point with a little barbed wire.
D. If there is little likelihood of further damage wait till the snow goes, have a clear up and put it down to experience, making plans for the next snowfall....
