Valentines Day - give it back to the single people...
Discussion
We take it as an 'appreciation of what we have' sort of day. Get lots of nice grub in and have a slap up home cooked meal and a bottle of wine, followed by a dvd curled up on the couch together.
Much nicer that sitting in a crowded restraunt with a bunch of strangers, waiting ages for food thats gone cold. We can go out for a meal anytime so why do it on the worst possible weekend of the year? Why not do something meaningful instead.

restaurants are going to be rammed with lovesick couples.
Except they are not lovesick. They are there out of a sense of obligation, invariably looking miserable as they realise that after another year, they have even less to talk about than they did going through the same empty farce the previous year.
And still they'll rebook.

i'm actually having trouble remembering what i did last valentines when i wasn't single. i know the year before i went on a stag do which went down like a ton of bricks with the OH. especially as i got into a fight with her housemate's boyfriend.
any ideas of how to annoy aforementioned lovesick couples in the restaurant will be appreciated.
