This is how to clear the snow
Discussion
Oh god, don't get me started on the shower of urine that is my local council.
They didn't bother with anything. Basically hung up the gritters after the first snow fall and left us to fend for themselves. So far we are looking at day 6 of the snow and we have had no refuse collection, no schools (except today), no road gritting, no recycling collection etc etc.
And they have the audacity to suggest that we should help each other. Nope, that is why we pay our council tax, so we don't have to do it ourselves. Bloody idiots. Send the idiots to Scandinavia for a few weeks and see if they can cope.

What I don't get is this...
We live in an age where just about every organisation going has an abnormal fixation with health and safety, yet local councils feel no obligation whatsoever to make public highways and footpaths safe for people to use during periods of snowy, icy weather. If I felt no obligation to pay my council tax they'd quickly release a peadophile and put me in his cell. It's a weird, weird age we live in.
