CSA incorrect calculations

Hi

Not sure if this is the right place but I'm sure the pistonhead members will be able to help

A family friend is going mad with the CSA

She didnt want to get them involved, but her ex was totally unsupported, it was them or nothing

The forms went in and the monthly fee was set, a month later her ex had managed to lose 23K off his yearly salary (he is employed) the CSA duly dropped the monthly amount

She has contacted them and said whats going on and all they quote is 'cant tell you due to data protection'

She has got proof of salary, company benefits etc before she had to leave him

Any ideas what she can do ? is it worth her speaking to a specialist CSA solicitor ?

Usually you would have to give the CSA a copy of 3 months wage slips to prove income and declare overtime/bonus per year.

Perhaps a deal was struck with the persons employer to prove lower income, it would be difficult to prove otherwise.
