Shower replacement
Discussion
My electric shower has decided it only wants to work when it feels like it, and when it does it'll only give out half the heat it used to.
It started on Saturday, went to turn the dial and there was nothing there. Turned it off both at the dial and the pull cord on the wall and took the outer part off, all wiring was OK but looks like it's seen better days. I gave the connectors a clean up and it's worked more often than not since, but wont give out a lot of heat.
I'd guess moisture has got into it and knackered something, but seeing as I inherited it with the house, and it's never been particularly powerful it's probably time for replacement.
Do new showers come with the internals ready wired, as in all you need to do is then wire up the mains, or am I going to be getting the soldering iron out? If the latter, does Nanny let me do this?
