I was getting ready to fix a lawnmower or a washing machine or something equally manly the other day so i thought i'd put on one of my old t shirts. It dawned on me as i was putting it on how old it was.. There are some right old farts on here, so i wondered how old your oldest item of clothing was?

I have owned that t-shirt and another shirt that have been with me for 46% of my life.

Take your pick, you can have a percentage or you can have years. I suspect some of you have shoes older than me.

I've got a whole bunch of stuff that I was given between 1988 and 1992 by a US supplier as freebies. I'm wearing one of their sweatshirts right now. All of their stuff was really good quality.

Not quite sure what the oldest one I own is, but for what it's worth the T-shirt I'm wearing at work today is 11 years old - from Garbage's "Version 2.0" album tour, circa 1998.

Not as old as some here, but i have a yellow YSL top from 1999. Still in good condition. It stays in the wardrobe as I don't really know when to wear it bacause I look like a sunflower with it on.

I've got a US Army jacket from 1968.

I've only owned it for a few months, but it still counts, right?

Have a pair of nylon, paisley patterned Y fronts in my top drawer. I still think they look rather fetching, but havent been worn for a decade or two.

I have an Yves Saint Laurent suit that my aunt left me in her will. I've no idea how old it is. I'm guessing early 60s.

I've got a couple of vintage tops, probably circa 1950.

I'm having a big clear-out at the moment. One of the less bizarre finds from under the bed have been some paperbag Bryan Adams t-shirts bought 23 years ago.

I have a plain grey Topman t-shirt that I bought when I was 16 - so it's 20 years old. It's been "thrown away" a number of times in the past few years only to be "rescued" again.

I've got a Ferrari coat allegedly from the 70's that I still wear now and agtain, has a sort of retro cool image, much like those Martini Porsche jacket people wear but withoput being a shameless marketing excercise.

Also have an "nWo 4 Life" t-shirt that I still wear round the house, a few people might get the referance and know how old that is.
