Just watched the film.
Amazing story.
Going to a talk on thursday been give by simon (gut who cut the rope)about his experiences climbing
And that incident.

A lot of people find Simon Yates very self indulgent and I believe he is a little unpopular in the climbing world.

A very moving story though and not a situation I would like to be faced with.

Brilliant book. A friend of mine went to a talk by Simon Yates a couple of weeks ago, presumably the same sort of thing, and was amazed. Don't know much details but I would definitely go if I could.

For what it's worth, I wouldn't blame him for cutting the rope given the situation.
