How can you not like Cheggers? He's a monumental failure and everything he touches dies on its arse, he's so much of a laughing stock he's lovable.

I was at a charity dinner a few years ago and celebs where asked to donate personal items for an auction. People had donated prestige watches, signed shirts etc but cheggers went one further and donated his chewed chewing gum!! It was mounted into a frame and labelled "Cheggers Chuddy" - Fantastic, so i bought it for my brothers christmas present. He says its the worst present he ever got but one of the coolest.

I suspect that you're under the age of 30.

I accept that everything went pair shaped when Maggie left him and hit the bottle, but even at the depths of his troubles he still managed a superb Viz documentary where he complained about children teasing him with "Here comes Cheggars to collect his pop".

Prior to that his career could only be described has meteoric. His contribution to the Multi-Coloured Swap Shop arguably made the show. The Swap Shop pivoted around Cheggars' swapathons.

After that the inimitable Cheggard Plays Pop was epic. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE was glued to it, a truly unforgettable television program.

Post alcoholism he resurrected his career with the Big Breakfast, and now features heavily in almost everything Chris Moyles does.

You young man, do NOT know your history.

I've had to stop listening to Radio 1 in the morning in the car as the jingle for 'Cheggers c**ting Pop Quiz' makes me want to smash my fist repeatedly into the head unit.

I suspect that you neither turn the radio off, nor come anywhere near close to punching your head unit.

Do you know that Cheggars is also a seriously hard bd, I doubt he'd take kindly to your stories?

Who could forget the magnificence that was Cheggers Naked Jungle.

NSFW aparently. Although as it was broadcast on national TV I'd probably argue the point smile

NSFE (Not safe for eyeballs) probably more accurate.

I've got plenty of time for Norris, he's a very good actor, albeit with a limited repetoir. I don't think he could live with Cheggars in his own backyard of light entertainment, he be simply outclassed by Keith's speed of thought into the quick gag zone. I don't want to play Cheggers down as an all-action film hero, but post Maggie I just don't think he'd have the confidence. I could be wrong.

Cheggars has never hidden his love of the sauce, why don't people concentrate on his positives without the constant digs.

You don't see people talking about Barrack Obama's acne do you?

Again, I suspect you never saw any of his material during his boom years.

I understand what he has done and respect it, but now post alcohol he makes a living from being a professional laughing stock. He's a personal pantomime up there with the Hamiltons and Jordan and her 3rd favourite tit Peter Andre biggrin
