Hi, need some ideas for our shift team building event this year. Health and safety dept at work a pain so no go-karting,paintballing etc and we have to do something rather than just drink!!
last year we went horse racing in York then evening on the pi55. We have about £80 a head to spend and would prefer a night away.
Ideas so far include fishing and camping (cant think of anything worse than that),tour of lotus factory, goodwood f.o.s.......and thats about it

all ideas welcome

Colleagues from work recently did a canal barge type thing. Which involved drinking.

Get on barge. Drink. Barge driven to pub.

Get off barge. Go into pub. Drink and eat.

Get back on barge. Drink. Barge returned to start point.

Give them the £80. It will create far more goodwill than a team building event.

As ever with these threads, may I recommend Go-Ape. It's fully elf and safety'd so no worries there.

I have a suggestion.

Mrs B runs a team building / corporate event company. Her most popular things are Farm days, Ice sculpture, circus skills, RIB treasure hunts, Scalextrix. Best one I ever did was an asault course with some demented ex-Royal Marines...not sure it would get past health and safety nowadays....

we normally have a good laugh, spend the companies money and get lashed. RE going ape...on the blacklist i'm afraid.
by the way theres 15 of us and all work shifts so anytime is good, June seems to be the most popular. If we dont use it we lose it!!

Finish at 1pm then go to the local park for a snowball fight.
Those that chicken out and go home can be the first to recieve their P45's when the time comes.

My team and I are going Off Road Segway-ing this month! I fancied something a bit different and found it after a bit of Googling.

Look into it, looks like good fun....here's an example. I booked mine direct thro Segway though.

Apprentice-type team exercises? E.g. seeing how much debt you can run up in a foreign country (with draconian bankruptcy laws) and making a run for it?
