Anyone going to this? I am, looks like, and have no idea what to expect. Have skiied at Mayrhofen before (good if not amazing skiing, nice treeline runs etc) - but the festival bit intrigues me. Where does it happen, what are the venues and crowds like?

Very random. Going with my secretary at the last minute. We are trying to find others to go at the moment; hopefully get a group together. Either way, it will probably be messy.

Yes, it probably will.

We await a full and vivid report.

Well, she's lovely, and actually came skiing with me on a business trip to Milan recently - we used the company chalet in Livigno, and a bunch of us went. So we decided that another go, with a festival thrown in, would be good. But we can't very well take the Milan office with us, so decided to go it alone. And most of my mates are couples, so unlikely to make it.

Hoping she invites a bunch of her blonde and vacuous chums, actually.

I suddenly have a lot of holiday to burn, so random trips like this are a winner. Nurburgring and various weekday trackdays have found their way into my diary too. Being single has benefits.

When did that happen? Last I saw, you were swooning at her feet and reminding us of how unworthy you were to lick the soles of her shoes, or something.

I've always wanted to go but unfortunately all my mates are couples and none of them ski/board. Think I need new friends!

I went a few years ago, and it was epic - some seriously good DJ's playing and a really good vibe all week - no trouble, no messing around - just ace fun.

Seriously hard work though as you ride all day, and then you party all night - meaning you're dead by the end of the week.

To be totally recommended thumbup

p.s the party at the end of the week in the street is epic smile

p.p.s some of the girls that go are also bloody epic...

What happened to the ex-Mrs Flash. Last I heard she was on her death bed and Flash was telling us all how great she was. Did my incredibly incisive post about her getting time to think and dumping from her hospital bed you come to pass?
