If anyone has seen the trailor for the new watchmen film....

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=E4blSrZvPhU

Do they know that the song playing in it is? I cant find it on the net as it not the title track.

I know its a bit of a random question but I quite like the song.

Looking forward to seeing this film and how well it comes across via the big screen. Apparently its a near identical port of the novel.

I can't watch it at work but is it the first trailer or the second? If it's the second then Muse is used for most of it, can't remember the song title tho. But if it's the first one then it's Smashing Pumpkins.

The first trailer is definatley the Smashing Pumpkins: The begining is the end is the begining... which is the B side to a single released for one of the original batman films. You can even buy it on itunes if you want.
The second trailer is Muse: Take a bow. From their last album; Black holes and revelations.

Well when I listened to the smashing pumkins song listed on the soundtrack it sounded nothing like what was on the trailer.

Are there two versions of the song. If so I stand corrected.

There are, the 'atmospheric' one in the trailer and a heavier one. It was originally the theme to the woeful 'Batman & Robin', so let's hope the theme tune is no indication of the film's quality!;)
