On the subject of plane crashes; a lucky escape!

A friend of mine and his mate survived the tail falling off their microlight at over 1000 feet, and the resultant crash into trees at 150mph or so.

Very, very lucky escape.
Jim Martin was a pilot with the North West Air Ambulance, and before that had been the only survivor as pilot in a Chinook crash. One lucky guy.
