BBCi player on iphone

Well it appears that i can watch tv and listen to radio via my iphone on bbci player. Watching topgear at the moment.
I didn't know that, did you know that?
I am amazed!
If you have known about this for some time can you tell me if the programs actually download of stream. Don't want to have to keep emptying y memory.
i still can't believe i am watching topgear on my iphone lol with decent quality and sound.

The ability to save programmes on the iphone would be good for long trips etc.

I cant believe what S***e my wife Nokia 96 is she complains all the time about the slowness of this phone is a huge annoyance especially when she are wanting to get a message out fast. Also another of the major annoyances is that every week or so the phone loses its capability to ring and the factory settings need to be reset to fix the problem……
Overall this phone is a complete rip off.
And not only that I think it looks like a brick.

It's not on the App Store - go to the iPlayer website in Safari.It's not just the web version of iPlayer though, since the video format wouldn't work; it's BBC offering a specially encoded version specifically for the iPhone/Touch (and other devices which can use the stream).
BTW, you can save Youtube videos with MXTube on a jailbroken iPhone, so I guess it would be reasonably easy for someone to do the same for iPlayer.

if you jailbrea your iphone (10 minute job on your pc) you can download an app called MXtube, which allows you to download youtube vids to your phone. it's awesome!The ability to save programmes on the iphone would be genius.
