One Stop ID`ing

Anyone hear on Radio 2 about One Stop shops, now I have checked seems to be no repost.
But One Stop shops are now ID checking everyone for alcohol purchase regardless if you are over 18, even if your in your 70s they will ID you?
How f
king ridiculous is that? Why the hell should someone who is blatently 30 or over have to be ID`d?

He brought 4 axes? thats why they i.d people buying knives! nut jobs like himanother thing, in asda you have to be over 16 to buy the sunday times [if you use self service, the purchase has to be authorised] yet there is no similar limit for the lads mags such as zoo etc. so you can look at tits but not learn about current affairs, which probably serves in labours favour.
If it goes anyway to reducing the amount of underage drinking, smoking and criminality that goes with it, then that has got to be a good thing, right?
Of course, asking a pensioner their age is utter stupidity. But then again, its not the right of a customer to buy stuff, its actually the discretion of the shop keeper if they choose to sell to you. This isn't a service, its a shop.
Anyway, its well known that One Stop shops are the worst culprits in the whole underage sale stuff. Probably just a bit of spin to try and win back some of the moral high ground. In reality I doubt its nothing more than a bit of PR.

If we didn't live in a society that was quite so lawless we wouldn't need all these petty rules in the first place.And lets not forget, they are tightening up on ID not because it'll prevent anything, but so that we'll accept national ID cards in the future.

Are you suggesting that this is part of a government-lead conspiracy to make the introduction of ID cards more palatable to the public?

Labour are deliberately creating a problem to be solved with ID cards, because they know that they have no other chance of getting them accepted otherwise.
