as has been pointed out the A380 wasn't the first plane to use winglets on the end of the wings, the mongols also didn't invent composites, the fact that the ancient greeks had lamina armor made of layers of leather metal and linen glued together not only predates this, but is much more similar to the shell of the A380 then the mongol bow.
personally don't like hammond doing his science programs, i don't think he's good at it, maybe work with kids but not the kind of person who wants to sit through a show on the A380, it's reached the point i'm so fed of him being on all the time, i don't shop at morrisons because he does the adverts
