Calling all plumbers...

Guys,
I have turned the thermostat off but all the rad's are still very hot and the pilot light is still on, on the combo boiler. The only way to turn the heating off is to do it manually on the boiler. Does anybody have any suggestions as too what could be causing this?

ChrisRS - the pilot light normally only comes on when we turn the heating on etc

not sure what boiler you have but it should not be possible for a boiler to ignite without the pilot light being lit a thermocouple takes care of that, are you sure you are looking at the right thing
