House price question

If a 3 bed house in the costwolds cost £186k in Jan of 2006. How much is it worth now roughly?

Its not had any improvements etc, same spec.

Just interested to know the rough price as everyone seems to think there's been a significant drop in price, although i know some areas are worse than others.

sunday times had a breakdown of property prices by area, maybe worth a look on timesonline. it was -2% for my area over the last 12ths

What are\have others sold for recently.

Have you noticed any difference in asking prices for that area.

It really depends on the location as some drops are fallen further than others.

Log onto nethouseprices.co.uk or Zoopla and check what the prices for recent sales are.

150-160k I suppose. There are surprisingly large regional variations, even over a fairly small area.

hows what it last sold for (in last 8 or 9 years at least) and applies an adjustment based on property price changes in that post code since. You can even add info re; extensions and improvemnets to update it.

Let me look into my crystal ball!

I think property prices have last something like 20% as a nationwide in the last 12 months so would work on something along those lines

I know it was up for sale for around 185k last year, not sure how long it was up for but they had zero interest.

There are only 3 other houses where we live and none have been up for sale so its difficult to gauge.

I was just curious really after seeing how much it went for in 06.

Putting my house at £45k more than i paid for it 5 years ago!!!

Hmm I'm not convinced of that site. It thinks my house is worth 14% more than I paid for it in 2004.

It thinks my 5 bed house with two en-suites and a double garage is worth less than my next door neighbour's 4 bed house with no en-suites and single garage........
