Noticed recently that R1's Bubbleheaded DJ's are more increasingly describing songs they like(which are usually ste) as simply an over emphasised "Tune".
I dont walk around saying simply "Happy" to describe my mood or "Air" when I manage to do a 2" bunny hop over a twig. So why say this, makes no sense. If they think it's great, why not just say "Oh what a great tune or song" etc.

Edith Bowman is worst offender, with Nihal Thingamebob in 2nd place. But the others are slowly picking up on it. Knobheads!

Anyone noticed this at all? Bugs me lots, incase you hadn't guessed.

That sort of thing has been going on for years. When I used to go clubbing, people sometimes had cards saying "TUNE" on them which they would hold up to the DJ when he put on a good track.

Bizarre really.

Same with darts in the local.

A good hand or throw or whatever is met with "Good arrers" from the assembled throng.

A really good chuck is met with nods and a serious "Arrers"

It's not just R1 that has this problem, radio DJ's in general are a special breed of intolerable pricks, the iPod and iTrip that I bought cheap from a friend are the best purchases I've ever made.

You hink thats bad? Wiley is back next week so its over to Radio 2 at ten for me.

Say what you like about Coxy (I personally think she's very witty and one of radio 1's best DJs) but its got to beat Jo wiley gushing over all the bands that Zaine Lowe played last week.

Radio 2 is getting a bit talky and crap too.

Radio 4 is where it is at!

R2 is better. Nice mix of music, some new some old.

Jeremy Vine gets on my nerves though. Constantly rushed and biased interviews.
Ken Bruce is good as is Chris Evans.

R1 is for numpties who probably buy The Star too.
