Holiday destination suggestions
Discussion
Just got a promotion and want to treat myself to a couple of weeks away.
It'd be 4/5 of us (all guys), timeframe is March/April and we'd like to do ~7 days beach + ~7 days "adventure"/sightseeing. Budget is around £2k. We'd like places that are not too quiet and one can have a good party, but without excesses (i.e. not fully of rowdy chavs). We're all mature init
Thailand was the intial thought but apparently it's too hot in April. Mexico and Brazil are other places we thought of, and just noticed that Costa Rica looks pretty cool.
Do you have any tips on places to go to in the above countries, or other suggestions?

I am going to suggest Bali. It's got lovely beaches, good nightlife with awe inspiring scenery and culture. It's an amazing holiday destination.
Assuming your £2k is for flights and hotel and you can travel outside of the school Easter holidays which start at the beginning of April, then about £700 for flights and that leaves plenty to book up some nice hotels on something like asiarooms.com.
Thought about Bali too, but what's the weather like in April, isn't it unbearably hot like Thailand? Also, what's the political situation like nowadays?Assuming your £2k is for flights and hotel and you can travel outside of the school Easter holidays which start at the beginning of April, then about £700 for flights and that leaves plenty to book up some nice hotels on something like asiarooms.com.

Traditionally, San Fransico, Mykanos, Stiges (South of Barcalona), Sydney during carnival, Brazil, Key West, Miami, all cater for your crowd. It'd be 4/5 of us (all guys), timeframe is March/April and we'd like to do ~7 days beach + ~7 days "adventure"/sightseeing.
