American Funeral Plots

I have noticed this on some TV programs that they all seem to plan for there burial plots at a very young age. Just thought that was just something for the older generations to discuss.

However just been talking to a friend who is 31 and is a yank, he just said he has just bought his plot. He isn't a religious man either.

Is this just an American thing, or is this common worldwide and I am just oblivious to it all.

It's a weird American thing. Some people actually make money by flipping funeral plots in desirable locations in equally desirable cemeteries. They actually cold call people to sell!
