I'm wanting to pop some DVD's on a 120gb iPod Classic and maybe an iPhone and I'm wondering whether anyone can recommend a method?

Any good shareware out there?

I already have a decryptor so just need to convert DVD to MPEG4.

I'm a bit concerned about web purchases from places I've never heard of hence looking for shareware but if anyone can recommend a paid package then that is fine of course.

TIA smile

I think this was what was recommended to me. I can't remember quite how I did it now though, there was something within iTunes, or Quicktime that did some conversion at some point I seem to remember.

Try Videora (free).
You may also need Slysofts AnyDVD to beat any copy protection.

OK thanks, I'll try and download it again and get better instructions off the web - if I don't get on again I'll look into magic.

I've tried a few of these but never managed to get it working. It seems that unless I'm prepared to spend a whole evening working it out, it's not going to happen. So frustrating.

Yes I know what you mean!

I thought I'd have a go with Handbrake again and i found some better instructions and have since managed to rip one film with Czech dialogue smile

The 1st attempt had no sound at all.

I think I've sorted out why these things happened and I'm just trying again.

Trouble is that it takes 40 mins to rip it each time only to find out it wasn't quite right!
